How to Trade Fruits Safely in Blox Fruits
Updated 2026-11-04 · 4 min read
Trading is one of the best ways to get the fruit you really want in Blox Fruits. It's also where a lot of players lose their best items to scammers. The good news: most scams follow a few simple patterns that are easy to spot once you know them.
Before you trade
Unlock a trading area
Trades only happen at the trade tables inside the Café in the Second Sea and the Mansion in the Third Sea. There's no way to trade fruits in the First Sea. At the time of writing, you need to reach level 700 and complete the Military Detective's quest to travel to the Second Sea.
Store what you want to trade
Only items stored in your inventory appear in the trade window, including permanent fruits you stored instead of activating. Fruits you've already eaten can't be traded.
Know the fruit's value
Look up both fruits on at least two value lists. Values are community estimates, not official numbers, and they move after updates. Our fruit values guide explains how to read them.
Know the game's limits
The game limits how many items each side can add and how many trades you can make in a set period. It can also block trades where the two sides are too far apart in in-game price. These rules can change with updates, so check in-game if a trade won't go through.
How a trade works, step by step
- Go to the Café or the Mansion and sit down at a trade table.
- Wait for the player you're trading with to sit in the seat across from you. The trade window opens once you're both seated.
- Add the items you're offering. Your partner does the same on their side.
- Check everything carefully before you accept (see the checklist below).
- Both players must accept for the trade to go through. If anything feels off, leave the table to back out.
Your pre-accept checklist
- Is the fruit name correct, and does the icon match?
- Is it the physical or the permanent version? Perms are worth much more.
- Did anything change since you last looked?
- Are you still happy with the deal, or are you being rushed?
Common scams and how to spot them
The last-second swap
The other player shows a great fruit, then quietly swaps it for a weaker one (or the physical version instead of the perm) right before you accept. Always do your final check right before you click accept.
Fake middlemen
Blox Fruits trades already swap both sides at the same time. You don't need a middleman for a normal fruit trade. If someone insists you hand your fruit to a "trusted friend" or "middleman" first, it's almost always a setup.
"Give first" trust trades
"Give me your fruit now and I'll give you mine after" is never a real deal. The same goes for "lend me your fruit for a raid." Once the item is gone, you can't make anyone give it back.
Off-platform payments and cross-game deals
Be very careful when a stranger wants to settle a trade outside of Blox Fruits, like getting paid with gift cards, payment apps or items from another Roblox game. Nothing protects you if they disappear. If you want to buy instead of trade, use a shop with a real support team.
Free fruit links and fake websites
Websites, videos and messages promising free fruits, free Robux or "trade value checkers" that ask you to log in are designed to steal accounts. Never log in to Roblox through a link someone sends you.
Pressure and fake news
Watch out for players who say a fruit "just got buffed" or "is about to be nerfed" to rush you, or who keep asking you to add "just one more" item. Set your terms before the trade window opens and stick to them.
Glitched trade windows
Some cheaters use exploits to freeze the trade screen or force the other player to accept. If the trade window acts strangely or you can't move, don't accept anything. Leave the table, or the server if you have to.
Keep your account safe
Your fruits are only as safe as your Roblox account.
- Never share your password, browser cookies or 2-Step Verification codes. Roblox staff will never ask for them, and neither will GetPets.
- Turn on 2-Step Verification in your Roblox security settings.
- Don't download or run scripts, "auto traders" or other cheat tools. Many of them steal accounts, and using them breaks the rules.
- Report scammers with Roblox's Report Abuse feature.
If something goes wrong
Finished trades usually can't be undone, so prevention matters most. If you get scammed, take a screenshot of the player's username, report them, and warn your friends. Then take a break. Rushing to win it back is how many players get scammed twice.
A safer way to get the fruit you want
Trading takes time and a careful eye. If you'd rather skip it, GetPets sells fruits and other in-game items. An agent delivers your order to you in-game, and you'll never be asked for your password.
